Bringing love, healing and freedom to the community through Jesus Christ

Rangeville’s heart for mission is a core of our ministry. We value the opportunity to support those who represent the hands and feet of Jesus throughout the world. We support people locally, nationally and internationally – a global family. The opportunity to serve in missions can be short term or long term. Some of our church family are currently serving in places like Papua New Guinea and Indonesia.

We are thrilled to be associated with groups such as YWAM (Youth With A Mission) in Toowoomba, as well as nationally and overseas. University Impact and Student Life connect with students in our universities; and organisations like Far East Broadcasting Commission, Wycliffe and Open Doors are avenues for reaching many corners of the globe.

We also support School Chaplaincy and have a dedicated team involved in Religious Instruction in schools. Both of these activities play a vital part in sharing God’s love and grace in the schools within Toowoomba.

Tim and Sharon Lithgow, Wycliffe Bible Translators

Tim and Sharon LithgowRangeville has been Tim and Sharon’s home church since 1985 when Tim was beginning his career as a pilot in the Australian Army. In 1995 they left the Army and joined Wycliffe Bible Translators, heading to PNG the next year with their three young children. In PNG Tim served as a helicopter and aeroplane pilot while Sharon served in department office finance management.

By 2007 all their children had finished high school and were back in Australia. Tim became involved in senior leadership of the organisation, eventually spending 4 ½ years as the CEO. In mid 2013, they they returned home to Toowoomba where in 2014 Tim commenced and completed his Masters of Business Administration in Strategic Leadership.

After nearly 20 serving in PNG, they are currently on home assignment and part of Wycliffe’s senior leadership team filling the role of Directors of Regional Ministries.

"Our role is primarily the support, encouragement and oversight of all the Wycliffe state Reps (about 20 people) and the Wycliffe ministry coordinators.  This requires lots of long distance communications, lots of travel visiting them in their locations, as well as more extended visits to the Wycliffe national office in Kangaroo Ground, Victoria."

Tim and Sharon send out quarterly newsletters. If you would like to receive them, please contact them at tim_lithgow@wycliffe.org, or facebook ‘Tim Lithgow’.
