Andrew Hoey, Evan Shelton, Matt & Annette Ireland, Jordie McCubben
Andrew is a fourth generation local of the Darling Downs who has a heart and passion for this region and what the Lord wants to do here. He studied Biomedical Sciences in Australia and Europe before taking a teaching and research position at the University of Southern Queensland. In 2008, Andrew commenced ordained ministry at Rangeville Community Church and was also awarded Emeritus Professor from the University. In 2010 he was appointed as the Senior Minister for Rangeville. Andrew loves seeing people’s lives healed and people released into God’s good plans for their future. Most importantly, Andrew loves God, loves being married to Kylie and loves their nine beautiful children.
Evan facilitates ministry in the area of worship and music, not only at Rangeville, but contributes to many arenas of music ministry across the city of Toowoomba through citywide church events and community events. Evan is married to Lacey and enjoys family time with Lacey and their four children - Aela, Heidi, Sam and Ben.
Matt facilitates ministry in the areas of Discipleship, Missions and Prayer. Matt has a particular passion for discipleship, especially engaging with those who don’t yet know Jesus. Matt is married to Annette and they are enjoying the experiences of parenting their son Simeon and the antics of their lively beagle (Charlie) and rhodesian ridgeback (Cali).
Annette oversees our Connect Ministry helping people to connect to their church family. Annette has a passion to help people discover more about how they can grow in their Christian faith.
Jordie completed his studies for his Bachelor of Theology in 2016. He is an awesome young leader and has a passion for Children’s Ministries. Jordie is also responsible for our Life Groups ministry. Jordie’s heart to serve with compassion and guide those he leads is a quality that endears him to those in his charge. Jordie is married to Emily and they are delighting in the joys of their children Harriet, Ruth and Jessie.
Next Level Leaders:
We are very excited that a number of our young people are currently studying towards a Bachelor or Diploma of Ministry, with a couple of them taking on larger leadership roles overseeing ministries in Rangeville.
James Mitchell is on an internship taking on the leadership of our Young Adults ministry and studying towards a Bachelor of Ministry. Apart from a passion for music and creativity, James' desire is to have a positive impact upon young people, encouraging them to grow in their faith journey to see them fulfill the destiny God has called them to. James is also involved in leadership of our RCC Youth on Friday nights.
Emma Hoey is passionate about Youth and has taken on leadership of our RCC Youth. Her heart is to see as many young people as possible reached for the kingdom of God, to passionately serve God and influence our city, state and nation. Emma is on an internship with Youth Alive where she has the opportunity to work in an area of her passion and help run large youth events in the south-east Qld area, connecting with other leaders through citywide youth activities.
