In the Congregation:
Before Jesus ascended into heaven He gave His disciples a final command: ‘Go and make disciples of all nations baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit and teach them to obey everything I have commanded you.’
We believe this command applies to every Christian in every situation so we spend time teaching our congregation how to effectively reach their friends and workmates for Christ.
In the Schools:
- RELIGOUS EDUCATION - We have a number of people at Rangeville who are involved in teaching RE in schools across our city. This is a vital ministry to be able to sow into the live of young people who wouldn’t ordinarily be exposed to the Gospel of Jesus. There is an urgent need for more RE teachers. We are fortunate in Queensland that the Education Department allows RE in schools. Let us take this opportunity to share the Good News about Jesus to boys and girls who might not have any other contact with the Gospel.
- BREAKFAST CLUB - This club has been set up to cater for students at Centenary Heights who come to school without breakfast. Teaches observed that such students lack concentration and are restless in class. The Club provided a simple breakfast of toast and spreads each Monday, Tuesday and Friday. The Breakfast Club co-ordinator is Liz Heaton. Volunteers are always needed and if you are able to assist please contact the churh office.
In the Workplace:
In 2007, the church across the city will be focusing on Christians setting up connect groups in the workplace. This is a program that seeks to encourage Christians to meet with other Christians in their workplace to see workmates won for Christ. This program has already seen a number of people make decisions for Christ and it is exciting to see how God will use it in the future.
